From the Caucasus with Love: My Journey Into Handmade Beaded Jewelry
Hello, beautiful souls, and welcome to my very first blog post!I am absolutely thrilled to welcome you to my creative space. If you are reading this, you are catching me at the very beginning of a deeply personal journey—one born out of pure passion, patience, and a whole lot of love.I am an artisan from Georgia—the breathtaking country nestled at the intersection of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, famous for its majestic Caucasus Mountains, rich history, and ancient traditions of craftsmanship. Growing up surrounded by such vibrant culture, dramatic landscapes, and artistic heritage, I always felt a pull to create things with my own hands.Recently, I stepped into a brand new field that completely captured my heart: the art of handmade beaded jewelry.
Finding My Passion in Every Single BeadTo be completely honest, I am new to this world. But they say when you find something you love, you don't choose it—it chooses you. The moment I picked up my first set of tiny glass beads and metallic threads, I knew I had found my true calling. There is something incredibly meditative and magical about working with beads. Each tiny piece represents a single moment of focus, and weaving them together feels like writing a story without words. When I sit at my workstation, the outside world fades away, and I am entirely focused on color palettes, intricate patterns, and structural balance.Because I am new to this craft, I don't look at my jewelry as a mass-produced product. Instead, I see every single bracelet, necklace, and pair of earrings as a unique learning experience and a labor of absolute love. I pour my focus, my fresh energy, and a piece of my soul into every loop and knot.Infusing Georgian Spirit Into My DesignsLiving in Georgia, inspiration is everywhere. You can see it in the deep, velvety tones of our autumn forests, the bright sparkles of mountain rivers, and the geometric motifs woven into our traditional textiles. While I am constantly experimenting with modern jewelry trends, my Georgian roots subtly influence how I see color and texture. I want the pieces I create to make you feel connected to something authentic, raw, and beautiful. When you wear one of my beaded creations, you are carrying a tiny piece of an artisan's dream from the heart of Tbilisi and beyond.
